Letter from the Editor
Thank you for reading issue 6 of Vulture Bones! This issue includes three short stories and three poems penned by transgender, non-binary, and/or intersex writers. Each piece is something fascinating. They explore the duality of hopefulness and isolation--a tension that resonates deeply for me as a transgender person.
I have the same experience when pulling together every single issue of this magazine: I forget, during the onslaught of submissions, exactly what pieces are slated for the upcoming issue. I start prepping the issue, and then I fall in love with each piece all over again. I am always so excited to share this work with you! And this issue is no exception.
In this issue, there is a quiet family drama. There is a magical well. There are romantic robots. Ophelia even makes an appearance. I hope you fall in love with each of these pieces as I have, two or three times over, now.
